Nancy is recorded in 1850 as having been born in VA. They had three children: Lauretta (abt 1823), Mary (abt 1827) and Calvin (abt 1832). Lauretta married Adam Brady, Calvin married first to a girl with only the initial "N" on the 1850 census, who died before 1860. He then married a RUTH abt 1862. The third child, Mary, is listed in 1850 as age 22, living with parents, and apparently has an illegitimate son William age 4.Also in the household is an elderly woman named "M Johnson", born VA, who I assume may be Nancy's mother. They lived in the area that became Browers Twp., and the Hayes name is spelled with many variations throughout censuses. Does anyone have any information on this family? Lauretta Hayes Brady was my GGgrandmother. Nancy Jones
