Wade Hinshaw, (page 168- see "Tatlock") Joseph Tadlock was a son of Edward and Susanna Tatlock. born 16 Jun. 1781 in Pasquotank Co., NC. Joseph married Mary BUNDY, 26 Jul. 1806. Mary BUNDY was a d/o Caleb and Sarah WILSON BUNDY. Joseph and Mary's family were all born in Randolph County, NC. They were: i Margaret TADLOCK b. 20 May 1807 m. Richard HIX, 24 Jan. 1826 in Rand. Co.. She died from pneumonia 23 Oct. 1853. He married again. ii Thomas TADLOCK b. ca. 1808 to Jane REDDING iii Susanna TADLOCK b. ca. 1811 m. 19 Jun. 1835 to Lingrum BURKHEAD. (She was his 2nd wife.) iv William TADLOCK b. ca. 1812 to Pantha BURKHEAD, 17 Jan. 1834 in Rand. Co., NC. v Emily TADLOCK b. 15 Jun. 1814, mar. Solomon BURNS, 2 Feb. 1847. vi Sarah TADLOCK b. ca. 1818 mar. 14 May 1836 to John PRESNELL vii Elizabeth (Betsy) TADLOCK b. ca. 1825. mar. Jesse SPENCER 11 Jan. 1844 in Rand. Co. viii Martha (Patsy) TADLOCK b. ca. 1826. mar. 11 Mar. 1846 to Solomon BURNS, who mar. her sister Emily, only about a year later. ix Mary B. TADLOCK b. ca. 1827. mar. Johnson FRY 19 Dec. 1844 in Rand. Co., NC My sources for the above, other than Hinshaw's book, is Randolph County Marriage bonds, Cemetery Records and census records. I do not know where the name LINGRUM/LINGURN/LINGRAM came from. Nor do I know the history of the name "Pantha". There is a Pantha Creek in Randolph County. Who knows? Perhaps they liked the name.
