I'm a direct descendant of John Graves and Mary "Polly" Smitherman thru their daughter Nancy Ann Graves (Douglas, Williams, and Montgomery). I just today took the Smitherman name back farther to Samuel born in 169l and Phoebe Johnson born 1695. Do you have any more info on these two or their ancestors? Samuel Smitherman born in 1723, his wife I believe, is Sarah Fitzhugh born in Virginia in 1727 - but that's it. Anything else? Thanks, Martie P.S. For William Smitherman born in 1758, I have his wife as Grace Latham but no more. Any help?
