Savannah, My g-grandfather was Samuel Staley who married Elizabeth Bech in Davidson Co., NC on 10-28-1866. He died 2-21-1921 in Troy, NC (Montgomery County) at the age of 73, but I have been able to find nithing about his birth. The handwritten death listing in Montgomery Co. lists his father as "George", but that's as far as I've gotten. I assume that he was born in 1847 or 1848. I did receive information once that a Samuel Staley born to Uriah Staley in 1849, but I can't seem to locate that e-mail now. My grandfather Staley (Samuel's son) died in 1925 and my mother's family gradually lost touch with most of that side of the family. Do you have any information on Samuel? Thanks.
