The real name of the "Bunton" are Bunting. I found a few named Bunton that were actually Buntings. I have just one Daniel Bunting in my file, and this is all I have on the Daniel. A few Buntings married in our Presnells in Randolph Co. NC. I imagine that LaVerne Bunting Hayes will help you if she reads this. US Census indicates he resided in Northern Division, Randolph, North Carolina in 1850, Eastern Division, Randolph, North Carolina in 1860, and Liberty, Randolph, North Carolina in 1870. In 1880, he had moved to Gwaltneys, Alexander, North Carolina. His wife's name was Julia, maiden name unknown, and their son,George Washington Bunton b. 25 Sep 1849 is my great great grandfather. I think that Daniel's father may have been Ebenezer Bunting, but have no solid evidence yet. Any information on Daniel or his wife, Julia would be greatly appreciated.
