    1. [NCRANDOL] Thomas REAVES death date!
    2. Tim Walls
    3. Great news, sort of.....This pertains to my post of yesterday regarding Pennina REEVES. I have Thomas REAVES in Randolph County Cemetery Records, Volume III, North Central Section (covers Randleman, Level Cross, and Back Creek) page 192: The County paid to board needy persons with Randolph County families; these persons were possibly buried in family burying grounds or in some church cemeteries. 12. 8th of 5th mo 1832 (note the Quaker style) WALL, Elizabeth [Wm. WALL, Sr.] 13. 1835 REAVES, Thomas [Pd. Sam CLARK/Absalom DENNIS funeral expenses. Pd. PETHRO for coffin] 14. 30th of 9th mo 1835 DOUGAN, George [Pd. for burying] So the evidence shows that Thomas died in 1835, sometime in the first nine months of the year. Pennina may have left, but not divorced, Thomas for him to be living alone, probably with Sam Clark or Absalom Dennis, in such circumstances....her bastardy bond said that she was a single woman, and they summoned so many people including first of all Wiley WALL who I think was Pennina Reeves's brother. It must have been a scandal then. Maybe she had an affair with William MCGEE, then when she was found to be pregnant in 1834 a whole bunch of people got involved!
