My relative moved to Georgia and my mother's family of Spinks all lived in Georgia. There are several generations of Enoch Spinks - hard to tell who is whom.
The real name of the "Bunton" are Bunting. I found a few named Bunton that were actually Buntings. I have just one Daniel Bunting in my file, and this is all I have on the Daniel. A few Buntings married in our Presnells in Randolph Co. NC. I imagine that LaVerne Bunting Hayes will help you if she reads this. US Census indicates he resided in Northern Division, Randolph, North Carolina in 1850, Eastern Division, Randolph, North Carolina in 1860, and Liberty, Randolph, North Carolina in 1870. In 1880, he had moved to Gwaltneys, Alexander, North Carolina. His wife's name was Julia, maiden name unknown, and their son,George Washington Bunton b. 25 Sep 1849 is my great great grandfather. I think that Daniel's father may have been Ebenezer Bunting, but have no solid evidence yet. Any information on Daniel or his wife, Julia would be greatly appreciated.

That is correct. Also, Enoch who married Elizabeth Needham had a brother, Rolly, and his father was named Enoch as well, if my memory is serving me correctly today. : ) Lisa ----- Original Message ----- From: "Nancy Jones" <dotsicle5@sbcglobal.net> To: <NCRANDOL-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, May 06, 2006 10:50 AM Subject: Re: [NCRand] Re: ERECT in Randolph County? >I have Enoch Jr as a brother of Rolly Spinks, both > sons of Enoch Sr Spinks and Elizabeth Needham. > > dotsicle > > > ==== NCRANDOL Mailing List ==== > ~*~*~*~ The Resources in the USGenWeb's Parade of States Awaits! ~*~*~*~ > -- Table of all States: http://www.usgenweb.org/statelinks-table.html > > ============================== > View and search Historical Newspapers. I assume you are talking about the oldest Enoch and Rolly. If so, we traced them back through a very rough trail into VA and MD. The best we could determine, Rolly's father was Enoch and he also had a brother Enoch. Hope this helps. Zebedee WOOD & Reuben WOOD were full brothers, not half brothers. Earlier genealogies indicated they were half brothers with the mother of the younger ones being a WELBORN. However, later research has discovered the one who married Sibbel WILBORNE was John WOOD III, Zebedee & Reuben's brother, rather than she being their father's second wife. I descend from David WOOD, another brother of Zebedee & Reuben. Imogene Bennett Springfield, MO Imogene.Bennett@att.net
