Surnames: Williams, Garner, Gardner Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/kUB.2ACE/3517 Message Board Post: In the process of moving, not only have my paper records been scattered but my COMPUTER is broken and in the shop, leaving me no access to my notes of any kind. A very nice researcher had given me info on Lydia Williams (daughter of Jeremiah Williams and Nancy Garner/Gardner); who she married and to what state she moved... also the info that, after moving, she gave her NC land back to her grandfather Benjamin..... this was the 250-acre parcel of land called "Foushee's" which Benjamin Williams has originally given to his son, Lydia's father Jeremiah. (Eventually Benjamin willed this land to his daughter Caty). If anyone is out there who can feed me the info on Lydia Williams again, I'd be so grateful.

    2. Betty A. Pace
    3. ----- Forwarded Message from Wall researcher----- Would locate property of TOBIAS JULIAN OF RANDOLPH CO. NC Betty Pace --Forwarded-- Note the timing of this court record and compare it with your Burgess WALL records. I also wonder who Batt Wall is. Does anyone have a theory on the name Batt Wall? Could it be Bntt or Bennett Wall? May Session 1806 Page 219 Ordered that Joseph DOUGAN be overseer of the Fayette Road down [or from] the X (cross) roads to Webbs Creek & that Meshec Green, Tobias Julin, Batt WALL, Burges WALL, Joseph RICH, William WALL, Solomon WALL & Hamilton McVEY work under him as hands. Probably same Joseph DOUGAN who was bondsman for Temperance WALL and Silas SWAIM on November 02, 1831. (Lee says that Solomon Free, William Free, William Dougan and Alexander Gray all married Allred sisters 1815-1819. daus of John Allred and Sarah Spencer. John had a sister, Mary Allred, b. ca 1762. So this is another possibility for Mary Wall, aunt of Sol. & Wm Free. Also a Mary Wall shows up at the Joseph Dougan sale in 1832. There are some other indirect connections here. Samuel Russell and wife Leah Burgess of Stokes Co. Jonas Lassiter of Wake Co.
