    2. Judy: Thank you VERY MUCH for the info you sent. I appreciate the time you spent in preparing this. About the two James Ernest Presnells in your information. In looking at it, I think that the James as a son of George Henry Presnell was a mistake in entry or typo error, for James was born 20 years later than all the other children but makes a reasonable fit within the years of Brandon Presnel's children's birth. Your info is what I needed for my genealogical search. Gratefully, Billie Bocetti

    2. Our LAMB line starts with Nancy E. LAMB (b. 1834)(who married Johnathan VICKERY), daughter of Mordecai LAMB (1800) and (1) Esther PUGH, son of Albert (or Alfred) LAMB (1776) and Rachel NEWBY, son of Joseph LAMB (1737) and Frances BEESON, son of Henry LAMB (1697) and Elizabeth HENLEY, son of Col. Joshua LAMB Jr. (1674/5) and Susannah CARY, son of Joshua LAMB Sr. (1642) and Mary ALCOCK, son of Thomas LAMB (1596) and (2) Dorothy HARBOTTLE, son of Thomas LAMB (1572) and Elizabeth _______, son of John LAMB (abt 1550) and Elizabeth AYLETT. I believe an earlier listing showed that your book takes off at Henry (1697) and follows a different son -- Isaac, I think. -- is this correct? I also have a family for Esau, son of Henry. BUT-- what about Joseph? Thomas? William? Jacob? and Reuben? Thanks for answering. Cheri Caudle in Summertown, Tennessee

    3. Barbara/Kay I am a new LAMB researcher. I am trying to learn the parents of John W. Lamb who married Victoria ? in GA abt 1890. I could be off on the time span. I also think the W stands for Wingbush. He eventually settled in TX and died there. By any chance does this name connect to any of your lines or has the name Wingbush appeared in your database? I appreciate any help/advice I receive. Thanks Bonnie

    2. Thank you so much, Linda. That is what I was looking for. So many of the families had many spellings of their surnames. I can tell you that our PRESNELL family, in other lines when they went to other states or counties, were spelled lots of ways and still are: PRESSLEY, PRESLEY, PRESSNELL, PRESSNEL, PRESSNAL, PRESSNALL, PRIESTNAL, PRESNAL, etc, etc,etc... I run a Presnell cousin group list (just a personal cousin list to share things and correct things and help find things) and so many are still spelled in many other ways. But we are all cousins. :-) Judy Presnell Canant In a message dated 7/12/03 7:07:36 PM Eastern Daylight Time, [email protected] writes: << Subj: Re: [NCR'ndol] Re: Tadlock/Loflin Date: 7/12/03 7:07:36 PM Eastern Daylight Time From: [email protected] (Leo J. There were a number of Loftins just some 'doors' away from a series of Loflins in this area, over time, but as I tracked kids, the two spellings remained distinct.... Sometimes they were Luftin and Lafflin, or some other spelling glitch......... but the "T/L" difference followed along the lines. I'm no expert, but that's the pattern I saw. Linda Schreiber >>

    2. FamilySearch.org has a Boling King, b. abt 1783, of Randolph Co., NC -- married to a Mrs. Sally King. I found another reference to a wife as just "Sallie" -- nothing on a Martha. In our STEED database, we have a Martha b. 1783, d/o Mark & Catherine Griffin Steed -- Martha, b. 1767, d/o Capt. John Steed Sr. & (1) Ann Hill -- but no spouses for either of those -- and numerous other Marthas with dates a bit further out of range. I suggest you check with the genealogy library room in Randolph County. If you get any ideas as to parentage, or marriage date, etc., I could perhaps help further.
