Martha Caroline (Callie/Callie) Davis married WIlliam H. Brown of Chatham Co. at the home of her father in Chatham Co., NC. I am looking for her father's name. Her mother is buried in Giles Chapel Methodist Cemetery near Central Falls, NC. (5 miles from Randleman, NC.) Callie ran a boarding house in Central Falls after her husband, William H. Brown, died in 1887. I would like to have some information about this boarding house. The name she would have been called by would be Callie Brown. She died in Randolph Co., NC in 1939 in Randleman and is buried at St. Paul's Methodist Church in Randleman, NC. I would love to know the names of her parents, brothers, and sisters. Thanks. Mary T.

That was suppose to be James HUGHEY abt 1750 NC and his wife was named Dorcas but I don't know her last name. His daughter Rachael HUGHEY (1776) married James YOUNG in Oglethorpe County GA in 1799. I think I got that straight this time. Then, James and Rachael HUGHEY YOUNG had a daughter named Dorcas YOUNG (1803) and she married Nathan Thomas EDWARDS (1802) ----- Original Message ----- From: bellanet <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, September 12, 2003 10:21 AM Subject: Re: [NCR'ndol] Surname Roll Call > From North Carolina: > (1) William Wesley J. Do you know if this cemetery has been cataloged at this time? I notice that you are assisting those of us in need with information from The Heritage of Randolph Co. Like many others, that would be a book to have. If one is available..... The families I am tracing are Richard Small and Rachael Miller, Josiah Small and Martha Johnson. Martha "Sirona" Small is my husband's grandmother. Richard and Rachael Small would be Josiah Small's parents. Josiah and Martha Small are Martha Sirona Small's parents. She was born April 24, 1888 and raised in a home on the hill south and west of the cemetery. Any information on these families would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance, Linda Lambeth

Do you have any HATLEYs in your family. My line comes from Chatham County, migrating to Arkansas ca 1850. Have extensive family info on my line? The Hatley name was also spelled HADLEY, HATELY, etc. In fact, when I was in AR on a family search mission, the people there pronounced the name HADLEY, even though they spelled it HATLEY. Very broad accent. If we're of the same clan, would love to exchange info. Hi Pat; I never thought about asking for an obiturary from the paper for Thomas. I cannot contact the g-grandson, but I have been in contact with his father for more than a year. As luck would have it the father's mother is the sister of my grandfather. I guess we are cousins then? I have been fortunate enough to find two cousins. Their mother or father are the siblings of my grandfather. Thank you for your help. Dee --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! I would try to get Thomas G-Grandson to go to the library and get obit on Thomas. That might help you are you can write them and they would do a lookup for you. I looked in my 1860 census and couldn't fine him, but in the 1870/1880 censes he is there as Thomas Wren with family.
