John Robbins who wrote his will in 1827 was a son of William Robins and Frances Nation. William wrote his will in 1786. I've posted transcripts of both wills online at the Randolph Co., GenWeb Archives. John Jr died before 1816. His son was Joseph b c1814 who like most of the children of John Robbins Sr. moved to Hendricks Co., Indiana. John also had a daughter Mary Ann b 30 Dec 1812. Allred of Liberty. he entered the service about three months ago and received his boot training at Bainbridge, Md. There is also a picture that I'd be happy to scan in and send to you, if you'd like.
