I've now visited my great-great grandfather's grave at the New Hope Methodist Church in Polk Co., NC. The area is very picturesque and the gravemakers for John M. and Leanna PARKER MAYFIELD are quite nice and located near the enterence to the the church. I now know that John M. Mayfield served in the CSA - Co. G., 49th Reg. NC. However, I know NOTHING additional about Leanna PARKER and where she came from. John and Leanna have been located in Cleveland, Rutherford and Polk Cos. in NC and in Union and Spartanburg Cos. in SC. Any additional assistance appreciated! LINDA in TN
