If so the records are most likely found in Rutherford County, although a few might be in Buncombe or Henderson County. The line between present day Henderson and present day Polk changed slightly several times, although some of the time the line would have been dividing Buncombe and Rutherford. My suggestion is to search Rutheford County and failing there look in Buncombe County.
