    1. [NCPOLK-L] Arledge, Holbert, Stover, Rucker, Waldrop
    2. Pam Wilson
    3. I'm researching any and all people with the ARLEDGE, HOLBERT, STOVER, RUCKER or WALDROP surnames who lived in and around Polk County (including Rutherford and Henderson). I'm also very interested in finding someone who has researched the NEWMAN family, since I have lots of Newmans married into my families (but don't know how they fit together). I'm working on a comprehensive history of all the ARLEDGEs in Polk County, descended from Amos ARLEDGE and his son Jonathan who came from Fairfield Co, SC in the early 1800s. If you have ties to this family, please see my ARLEDGE Family History web page at http://www.geocities.com/heartland/prairie/8208 . I'm descended through Green Berry Arledge. I would like to hear from anyone with an Arledge in their family tree. My g-grandmother Arledge was Laura WALDROP, daughter of Joseph Thomas "Toddie Joe" WALDROP of Mill Springs. He is descended from Luke Waldrop of VA through several generations of Jechonias Waldrops and a Robert Waldrop. I'm still trying to fit all the Waldrops together, and would appreciate anyone's help! My gg-grandmother Arledge was Elizabeth "Lizzie" Ann RUCKER of Green Hill, Rutherford County, descendant of Huegenot immigrant to VA Peter RUCKER. My ggg-grandmother Arledge was Sarah HOLBERT, and I am working very diligently to try to piece her ancestry together. Her parents were Benjamin HOLBERT (son of John HOLBERT and Sally STEEL) and Charity STOVER (dau. of Jacob STOVER and Sarah WELLS(?)). Information on any of these families would be greatly appreciated. I would be glad to share what I have. Please contact me if you are working on any of these families. 1. SPLAWN Family
    2. GGreen2158
    3. Searching for the descendants of William SPLAWN, 1800-1884; two wives: Polly CAPSAW and Jane WALDRUP. William's mother was Peggy SPLAWN; his father is unknown (maybe John?) The Splawn's apparently went to present day Polk County just before 1810; settling on Little Mt.; later they sold this property and owned land in the vacinity of the present day Polk Central School on Rt#9.
