Hello All, New to the list and my first posting. I am researching my Whidbee ancestors. My ggg-gf (William?) Benjamin Whidbee was supposedly born in NC. All I have to go on is census data. He was born ca 1805. He married (Amanda?) Elizabeth unknown around 1827. Their first 2 children, Nancy Ann and Thomas, were also born in NC in 1828 and 1832, respectively. They left NC for AL ca 1833. I know there were (and still are) many Whidbee/Whedbee families in the Perquimans and Chowan Co. areas. I would love to correspond with any Whidbee/Whedbee researchers in hopes that I can find the parents of Ben and the maiden name of Elizabeth. Thanks for any help. Tracy in AL
