I had an ancestor that was married by Thomas Hawes in Perquimans Co. Does anyone know if Thomas Hawes was a Anglican or Quaker pastor. And how can I get a list of original members of Nag's Head Chapel when it was an Anglican Chapel. I believe my Oats ancestors were first members of the chapel. Does the Perquimans County Courthouse have deeds dating back to the 1690s. Because the Oats family first appeared in Perquimans County in 1693.
