Will: Yes, I live on the eastside. When I first moved to Indianapolis, I live out on the westside for a year and nine months. Then I lived on the northside for about 13 years until I bought my own home on the eastside and am close to work (Finance Center at the old Fort Harrison). Originally I lived northeast of Indy, Noblesville's area (12 miles north). My dad farmed for many years and now he and my mother live in Noblesville. I hope you are able to have much success in your genealogy research. I have found much information on roots web for my family. Someone from California gave me some Civil War web sites that I shall delve in to more now that holidays are over. I have a great uncle who had family members supposedly in the Civil War.
