I have recently started researching the Perry family, because a cousin of my (deceased) mother-in-law married a Perry. I found three marriages between my wife's grandmother's family (Chappell) and the Perrys around 1800. Both families were Quakers, members of the Piney Woods meeting (which still exists). One interesting feature of the Perrys in Perquimans county is that they are related to Micajah (Mike) Perry, Lord Mayor of London 1738-39. I had not yet come across your branch of the Perrys, but some quick research found: Benjamin Perry (no middle initial shown) married Martha White on 14 Dec 1829, ____, Perquimans, NC. I could not find his parents. The children I found were Edmund Perry, born 1831; William B Perry (maybe the G of Gaston was misread by someone as a B), born 1834; Alexander Perry, born 1835. There is a Wiiliam G Perry born 1844, son of Alfred Perry and Perrina (or Penina). At 09:09 PM 10/29/1999 -0400, you wrote: >My great grand father was William Gaston Perry born 1833.
