Hello! I am searching for information pertaining to my wife's great-grandfather William Oliver Speight. His wife was a Boyce and they were married sometime before 1912. I am wondering if he was any kin to the Uriah Winslow Speight from Chowan county who died in Perquimans County in 1912. Uriah, I have found out was born October 9, 1835 and was the son of John White Speight and Sarah Winslow. I'm thinking Uriah must be some kin to William Oliver, since on the 1870 census, he was living next to another of my wife's ancestors, David Linsey Copeland. The Boyce who married William Oliver Speight was a daughter of Mr. Boyce and a Mary White. I have found a Benjamin White who married Mary Jane Boyce in Pequimans on May 9, 1888. These are probably related also. Any information on these folks would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Will Smith
