Has anyone heard of the Berkeley Parish Register supposed to be a history of the Early families who settled in Perquimans County North Carolina. This document along with the Haywood W. Faison manuscript is mentioned in Winslow's History of Perquimans County. Suppposedly these documents mention my Oates family as the among the first white families in the area. Is there a written history of the Little River Community which my Oates relations lived. James Oates was the first attorney in that communtiy he died January 1703.
