    3. Found in thebook;Old Albemarle and it's absentee landlords;page 575; Some residents of the upper part of Perquiman's precinct inthe year 1721; Prior to the establishment of Gates county in 1778 Perquimans precinct and County corresponded to the present boundaries of Perquimans county except that included in a narrow strip of land, a few miles wide, on what is now the extreme eastern border of Gates county. This is sometimes referred to a s the Upper part of Perquimans , and on May 18, 1721, some of the inhabitants of this section of the then Precinct presented a petition or protest to the authorities, to which they signed their names. This petition gives the names,of course,of so many residents of that part of the precinct. They were, as near as can be made out, as follows; Thomas Bosell(Boswell) 18;William Bosell(Boswell) 18; Howard Modlin;Andrew Reed 139; Samuel Nicholson 116;Nathaniel Nicholson 2; Christopher Nicholson 116;Zachzriah Nixon 116;Michs Morpell; Thomas Montague 108;Jeames Hibuinos. Hope this helps; Jan<CCLMD@aol.com To: <NCPERQUI-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, November 20, 2000 9:24 AM Subject: [NCPERQUI] Thomas Boswell and Ann Waller > Elizabeth Durant dau of George married Thomas Waller. > Their daughter Ann Waller born 1687 married Thomas Boswell 1675-1735. > > Searching for information regarding Thomas Boswell. > > Thanks > > Charles Lucas >
