    3. I'm new to this list. I'm a direct descendant of Thomas Jacocks I whose will was probated in Perquimans Precinct in 1692. His wife's name was Ann we learned from old deeds executed by Thomas and wife. In the Perquimans court records of 7 of August, 1694, two years after the death of Thomas, it is stated "A deed of gift acknowledged in court by Ann Parish, formerly Jacocks, and John Parish her husband, to her son, John Huffton. We assume this was the widow of Thomas as he was the only adult person of record by that name in the Albemarle section then. Since the gift was to her son, John Huffton, it can be assumed with considerable assurance that Thomas married as his second wife, the widow Huffton of Perquimans precinct. Her maiden surname is unknown as is any further info about her. Thomas and Ann were the founders of the Jacocks family in N. Carolina. They left one son, Jonathan, born ca 1686, died ca 1735. Jonathan married first Elizabeth Collins, of Pasquotank Co. widow of William C. No issue here. His second wife was Mary Blount, eldest child of John Blount and his wife, Elizabeth Davis Blount. Will welcome any information concerning this family and will be glad to exchange info. The above is from the book, 'DESCENDANTS OF THOMAS JACOCKS' by Dr. William Picard Jacocks.
