Chapanoke Road runs north of Highway 17 just east of Hertford, North Carolina. The road is shaped like a large Y. The top two arms of the Y touch Highway 17, and are on each side of the Woodville airport. The bottom single foot of the Y runs north to Parkville. At the junction of the top two arms and the bottom leg is an area designated Chapanoke. Just imagine a Y upside down sitting on Highway 17. C Lucas
