    3. Hello I just got your E-mail. I can't Help you out on the name but have you tried the library in Hertford, NC. They have a good selection of Census records and I think they have 1830 also. Call the Perquimans County Library and maybe the can help you. I have used some of their census and they were very helpful. Sidney L. 2. I am researching Nathan PERRY who was the son of Reuben PERRY and Esther WINSLOW. B) @1760/69 he married Rebecca YARBOROUGH probably from NC. I know they migrated to Claiborne CO., TN and by 1830 they were in Brown CO., IL where they settled. That is where Nathan & Rebecca and most of their children are buried. Nathan apparently had a brother Reuben Jr and Jacob. I'm looking for is any info on Rebecca YARBOROUGH and her family, also. If anyone has any possible clues I'd be happy to hear from them. 1. [NCPERQUI-L] MEMORIAL DAY TRIBUTE
    2. nparr
    3. Greetings Everyone, This weekend is traditionally a time to remember those who have gone before us. Once it was to remember those who gave their lives for our country in time of war; now it is a time to remember all of those who have died. Let us join together in remembering all our loved ones. The following is a poem that was given to me at a Hospice dinner in honor of those who had passed away during the year. It's a beautiful tribute for everyone who has lost a loved one. God Bless :-) Nancy E Parr - -------------------------------------------------------------------- WE REMEMBER THEM. At the rising of the sun and at its going down We remember them. At the blowing of the wind and in the chill of winter We remember them. At the opening of the buds and in the rebirth of spring We remember them. At the blueness of the skies and in the warmth of summer We remember them. At the rustling of the leaves and in the beauty of autumn We remember them. At the beginning of the year and when it ends We remember them. As long as we live, they too will live, for they are now a part of us as We remember them. When we are weary and in need of strength We remember them. When we are lost and sick at heart We remember them. When we have joy we crave to share We remember them. When we have decisions that are difficult to make We remember them. When we have achievements that are based on theirs We remember them. As long as we live, they too will live, for they are now a part of us as We remember them. - author unknown

    3. Hello, This is my first post to this list. I am trying to find my ancestor, Jeremiah Barnes who married Mary Lu[a]to[e]n in 1705. I found record of this marriage in the BIRTHS, MARRIAGES, DEATHS AND FLESH MARKS PERQUIMANS CO. I found it on a film that I rented through the local FHL. Can anyone tell me if there is likely to be a bond posted for this date and if so where I could find it? I am in CA and have tried at the Sutro Library but found nothing except this marriage record in the NC HISTORICAL REGISTER. I desperatly want to find Mary's mother and father. Thanks in advance for any pointers that you can give me. Lenore

Obviously, these are Quaker dates, so the months listed above could be off. Does anyone know the correct dates from Hinshaw? Also, I have one more generation for GOSBY, four more for NICHOLSON and several for their aligned families of CHARLES, REDNAP, and BALIE (BAILEY). You could find a lot of this from the Quaker Roots list or their archives. I just haven't pursued it. I'd be interested in what you discover. These people and their descendants marry into my LAMB line, and I've hit a brick wall on the wife of Richard LAMB (son of Joseph/grandson of Henry). All I know is that her name was Ellen (born abt. 1785 ?), and she may have been born in Perquimans. Keep in touch, Pam (Fiscus) Hatch
