The Hillsborough Recorder Thursday July 2, 1846 Died in this place on Monday night after a long and painful illness which she bore with christian resignation. Mrs Margaret Walls, aged 99 years. Mrs Walls had been a member of the Presbyterian Church for about thirty years, and while gradually wasting away by age and disease, she continued to rely with a steadfast faith on the assurance that when the earthly house of her tabernacle was dissolved, she should have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. She was the oldest inhabitant of the town.
