I am researching our family tree and need help in finding those who came before. John and Sallie Tester were from in or around Johnson City Tn. They had children, Wilbur Wiley (b. 1864) Andy, Daniel, Tom, David, Sarah, and Nancy. Wilbur married Nancy Emily Dunford in Smyth Co. Va. in 1888 and had children John Wesley Daniel, Ezra James, Wiley, Andrew, Carrie, Sally, Ida, and Emma. The 4 sisters lived most of their lives in Marion, Va. --- Our Testers invented what was called the "Tester Bed" , a sort of canopy bed. Sounds to me like my early ancestors were furniture makers or carpenters. It was also told that the first Testers came from Wales or England and were Wheel-Wrights. Not much to go on I'm afraid but that's all I have.
