    3. I would like to caution everyone to not send to the list anything that is protected by copyright without permission of the authors. Public record are, of course, not copyrighted. Privately written material is (unless it states otherwise). As I understand it (I am not a lawyer), anything published less than 75 years ago could still be covered by copyright. That does not mean that it is. But, I believe anything published over 75 years ago is considered public domain. With genealogy materials you can often get permission from the author to send parts of their work. I have done it before. Keep up the good work!
