Beginning in February 1866, a new County C0ourt was appointed and its members were sworn to uphold the Federal Constitution. This court was made up of many ex-Confederate Soldiers, and continued in existance until the State Constitution of 1868 came into effect, forever abolishing the County Court of Pleas and Quarter Session. 1866.....
