I heard from another researcher who's working on the same branch of the Tinnin's as I am. She found in the Thompson - Finney book by Jane Buchanan - a note of Mary Tinnin who marr. Alexander Mebane, Sr.....and that Mary Tinnin was the sister of John, James, Carnes, and Robert Tinnin. Does anyone know if the James listed above was the one married to Rebekah Thompson, daughter of Thomas Thompson and Ann Finney?
