In response to Sandy Thompson Eskew's request, the following information was taken from the book THE DESCENDANTS OF MICHAEL HOLT by Maudie Marie Holt Marshall: Michael Holt (Hold) (the immigrant) Michael Holt, Jr. Mary (Polly) Holt - born 1775, died 1847, married 29 January 1787 Anthony Thompson. Michael Holt (Hold) (the immigrant) arrived from Germany at what became known as the Second Germanna Colony in Spotsylvania County, VA in 1717. Both he and Michael Holt, Jr. are well documented in VA and Orange County, NC sources.
