I am helping a friend research for ROBERT NELSON. He was born in VA but his will was in Rockingham Co., NC. Before the names was Rockingham it was...Rowan then Gilford CO. Does anyone have any information on this line? Robert 's will was 13 Mar 1792. There were four generations of this name: Robert died 1792 Robert b. 1760/1 Clarksville, TN Robert b. 1796 Clarksville, TN Robert b. 1835 The 1792 will states the names of his children as: MY wife: Alice Sons, Thomas Nelson and William Nelson, John, Alexander Nelson, Robert Nelson, James Nelson, Samuel. Daughters, Elizabeth (married MacFarlon), Isable (married Burns), Jane and Alice The witnesses were: Thomas Rogers and William Farrer. Thanks for any help.
