Here is my Cook/e family history, covers these NC counties; Orange, Burke, McDowell, Catawba, Guilford, Forsyth, Cleveland, Surry, and possibly Caldwell. John and Sarah Cook- Orange Co. NC Edward Netty Cook married Anne Thomas on Feb 4 1785-buried Cleveland Co. NC Jessie Cook married Martha Aiken on April 15 1816-Burke Co. NC **************************************************************************** ********************************************** Aaron Cook/e married Caroline Hildebran/d great great grandparents (living in Burke County, NC in 1888) Samuel M. Cooke great grandfather born March 29, 1866 (according to familiy bible March 28, 1867) died May 27, 1936 buried in Woodland Cemetery, Winston-Salem, Forsyth Co. Samuel's brother-Calvin A. Cooke of Clover S.C. alive in 1936 Calvin married Louisa McCall on Nov 10, 1895 Calvin's son William Howard married Fanny Brakefield Oct 22, 1906 William's son- Donald Cook Donald Cook's son-Donald (Dale) Cook Samuel marries Ida Franklin December 30, 1888 in Lovelady Township, Burke Co. N.C. Samuel and Ida's children: Charles C. Cooke grandfather born April 1898 in Marion, McDowell Co. N.C. died 1967 married Hallie Dee Milton, later divorced 2nd wife, Clara May Marion M. Cooke born Oct 1891, died June 8, 1941 lived in Winston-Salem, N.C. had son Marion M. Cooke Jr. worked at McClean Trucking Everett L. Cooke (not Elbert) lived in Winston-Salem N.C. married Annie Elizabeth Carter children: Elise Elaine Cooke Hepler, Estelle Marion Cooke Reynolds and Winfrey, Earlene Cooke Naylor, Everett Leon Cooke Jr., Samuel Morton Cooke, Arthur Calvin Cooke, Frank Reid Cook (no e), Daphne Josephine Cooke Brannock Leon's sons-Chester (Dale) and Everett Lee (Buddy) Cook S.W. Cooke (Samuel Warren) went by the name Warren lived in High Point, Guilford Co. N.C. lived later in Mebane NC Ruth Cooke Etheridge lived in Washington D.C. Ethel Cooke Kennerly lived in Arlington, V.A. daughter named Betty Ruth and Ethel later moved to Orlando, FL Charles and Hallie's children: Charles, Glenn (my dad), Richard, Dorothy, Phyllis, Georgia, Vivian, Peggy most of the kids grew up in NC Glenn and Lily Cooke-my parents Glenn born in Hickory NC their children: Lynne, Valerie and Roberta (that's me, I pretty much end this Cooke line) Look forward to hearing from you.
