Does anyone out there have any info on Brittain DRAKE (not Albrittain)? Brittain was a son of Richard DRAKE of Southampton, VA. He and his brothers Francis, Matthew, Richard and John moved to Chatham Co, NC where he died in 1785/6. He died intestate, but according to his brother's will, he had a daughter, Margaret and according to a deed I recently discovered, he had a son, George. I am trying to prove the theory that this George is my 3Ggrandfather. His mother Polly UNK remarried shortly after being widowed. She married Joseph MINOR and that is the household where George was most likely raised. If any of you have anything on George or Brittain, please let me know. Thanks!
