I'm hoping someone out there might be researching Dixon's of Old Orange Co. I have three Dixson brothers (probable), David, John and Ephraim (b. abt 1767). David married Sylvia Boothe in 1797 in Orange Co., NC., Ephraim Dixson bondsman. John was married to Henrietta Boothe, and Ephraim was married to Sarah Boothe. Sylvia, Henrietta (Ritty), and Sarah were daughters of Daniel and Priscilla Boothe of Orange Co., NC. These families were in Franklin Co., GA by about 1800, and John and David were in Amite Co., MS by 1809. Ephraim followed along with his brother-in-law, Joseph M. Boothe (not the Joseph who married Sarah Barbee) by 1819. All three brothers as well as Joseph M. Boothe died in Amite Co., MS. I have been unable to connect these Dixon brothers to any of the families of the area. Does anyone have a clue. My husband descends from David Dixon and Sylvia Boothe through their daughter Priscilla.
