Searching for a JOHNSTON family - possibly Samuel - living in the old Orange County, NC, area around 1800. Robert Lyon died in Caswell County, NC, in 1804, leaving a legacy for his daughter, Jane Johnston, and it appears to have been collected by Saml. Johnston. I would love to know more about her family and descendents, and his ancestors. Would be happy to share information about Jane's family.
