Hi Tawsha, I have Brinkleys from this area. Unfortunately I don't know a lot about them. My earliest Brinkley is Hiram b 1819 probably in Person/Orange Co. He married Annis Oakley b 1817 Person Co and they moved to Orange Co. Have you seen Mark Brinkley's file on the net? He also traces a lot of his Brinkleys from this area. I have a book on the Brinkleys by Fred Brinkley, "The Brinkley and Allied Families of VA and NC". I looked up your Alexander but no luck.
