She wrote him a letter in 1850 regarding his move to Grimes Co., Texas. The original letter was destroyed in a hurricane but luckily we had copied it as near as possible. His sister was Mary Ann who married James M Gilbert. They had a daughter, Johnnie Frances Gilbert who was eight years old in 1850. My grandfather was William Minor Trice and he died in Erath Co. in 1924. I would like to find more information on our ancestors if anyone out there can help.
