I have a John Edwards who is suppose to have been born there and then went onto Orange Co NC. I have a lot of information on these Edwards. There were some of them who went on to Tenn. There were two wagontrains that left Orange and Ashe/Alleghany area in 1859 traveling to Benton Co. Ark. with people dropping out along the way. Email me if you would like to compare notes.
