Perhaps you can look for Simpsons there to find a connection. My husband line starts with Lemeul Simpson born in 1796 and died in Alamance in 1881. He had many children. We are assuming Lemuel's father was Benjamin Swain Simpson whose father is Samuel Simpson of whom you are talking about.
