There was a very famous Taylor-Sutton feud in South Texas, primarily De Witt County which involved the family of Josiah Taylor. According to one researcher of the feud: Josiah Taylor b.1781 VA and d. 1830 De Witt Co. TX is buried in the Taylor-Bennett Cemetery south of Cuero TX. He married in Clark County GA Oct 1807 to Hephzibeth Luker. They appear in TX 1826 census with 8 children. They were related to the Hardin family that gave birth to the famous outlaw John Wesley Hardin who was their best gun in the feud.
