    3. My husband is a descendant of the Quaker Allen family of Orange Co. NC, this old house John mentioned is from his family. I have seen a Zachariah Allen in this area, but never have been able to find a connection between the two families. At one time I had a family group sheet on another Allen family, I'll see if I can find it & whether or not it contains a Zachariah. There is a couple of Zachariah's mentioned in the Cane Creek MM (Quaker) records, but they are a little later than 1790, so not sure if this is the same family. Holler if you want the information--it covers a time period from 1814-1828 or so. I'll be glad to type it up. Looks like this family moved to IN (Morgan Co.) from 1822-1828.
