Some time last year I corresponded briefly with a Nash family researcher. I now have lost track of that researcher but wish to pass on an item that places the family in Pr Anne County Va ca 1755. Reference: Creecy. Virginia Antiquary Vol 1, Pr Anne County Loose Papers, Box A, p. 65 of the Creecy publication. 1 June 1771. Capias for John Keeling Junr, son of John, toanswer John Ivy and wife, assignees of William Ivy who was asignee of Thomas Nash, executor of William Nash, of a plea of debt for L147:17:8, damage L20. Attached to this paper is a bond dated 16 Dec 1755, whereby John Keeling Jr., son of Jno Keeling and Robert Cartwright bound themselves to pay L73:18:9 to Thomas Nash, ex'or of William Nash, if the just sum of L36:19:4 1/2 were not paid before 16 June next ensuing. Witness my hand this 25th day of February 1758. Thomas Nash Exr. (This is rendered exactly as published. If it is helpful, I can identify the Keeling line, the Cartwright line and some of the Ivy line referred to in this document. ) Loretta Kelldorf
