Jim, I can't tell you exactly where Travis Creek was, but I believe I saw it somewhere and it was in the neighborhood of Stinking Quarters Creek and possibly was named for Travis BOWDOIN. Stinking Quarters Creek is mainly in present day Alamance County and probably runs across the end of Guilford and upper Randolph where all three meet.
