There seems to be an interest in the TAYLORs of Orange Co, NC..... Charles TAYLOR was given power of attorney for Absolom TATOM for the purpose of bringing a salve home to him that had left..... Mr. TAYLOR is of Caswell County in North Carolina.....and mentioned as friend to Absolom TATOM....dated..2 April 1785 George TAYLOR was witness to the will of Richard HOPSON dated 12 December 1786. (Mr HOPSON lived in Orange Co and Parrish of St. Mark) >From the will of William WILLIAMS.......quote.....I desire that six acres of tobacco due to my by John TAYLOR of Hillsborough, be sent as soon as may be. unquote......dated 12 June 1787. >From the will of Thomas PRATT dated 3 December 1787 ...quote...And also I give and bequeath unto James TAYLOR, son of Frederick TAYLOR, twenty-five pounds paper money......unquote..... John TAYLOR, Coroner.....from the Inquisition into the death of Daniel McCORTNEY dated 9 June 1788..... Joseph TAYLOR is test to the bill of sale from Hardy SANDERS to John Grant RENCHER.........dated 3 March 1790 Joseph TAYLOR was given power of attorney by Thomas HART.....it says that Joseph TAYLOR is of Granville Co, NC...dated 26 October 1791 Co. Joseph TAYLOR is test to the Letter from Samuel PRICE concerning property of Col. HART dated 20 October 1791. John TAYLOR is test to the power of attorney from James WILLIAMS to John WILLS dated August 1793. And thus ends the TAYLOR info for these years.......pj
