~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Gleaner - Mar 23, 1916 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Capt. A. J. Albright Dead. Capt. Albright died last Saturday at his home near Friendship and was buried at Mt. Herman Sunday. He ws a veteran of the Civil War, a brave soldier and an excellent citizen. He was about 83 years of age was active up to the time of his last sickness. His widow and several sons and daughters survive him. Capt. Albright served as County Commissioner several terms and took a deep interest in county affairs. As official and citizen he could be depended on to do what he conceived to be fair and just. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Frightened by an automobile, a horse driven by Mr. John A Narron, county solicitor for Johnston county, ran away at Smithfield, Mr. Narron jumped from the buggy and fell. His skull was fractured, the injury being fatal. [end]
