Does anyone know if this woman was ever a school mistress or affiliated with a school? My father's middle name is Holt and he is supposed to have been named after the school mistress at a school where my grandmother taught. Unfortunately, we have no clue what school this was, and given the number of small schoolhouses in the area at that time it could have been anywhere. If it helps jog anyone's memory, my grandmother was a Carrington who married a Woods. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Friday, November 30, 2001 5:41 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [NCORANGE] The Gleaner - Feb 9, 1875 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Gleaner - Feb 9, 1875 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ DEATH OF AN ESTIMABLE LADY.--Mrs. *allie C.
