We've recently begun researching our Wilkerson family in Orange County, found her marriage, but have not been able to trace her (or him) back any farther. Charlotte Wilkerson m. Jno. Whitfield 3 Sep 1857 Orange Co NC Charlotte was the daughter of William Ansel Wilkerson & Elizabeth Madison, married in Granville County. It's not clear yet whether the family relocated or it was just a matter of changing county boundaries.
