    2. -What a very good idea. I am researching one of the Wood Families. Now, exactly which one is my brick wall. My 5th grt-gndfa, William Wood, was born in Lancaster County PA 7-15-1751 and the family moved to Orange County in late 1750s to early 1760s. Have not found my William's parents yet. If naming patterns were used his father should have been John Wood. Since there were three John Woods in Orange County in the time frame you can readily see my problem. My William Wood married Jane Boggan in 1781 in Orange County and the family moved to Anson County, NC in 1783. William fought in the American Revolution from Orange County for three short tours 1776 to 1780. I have his pension papers from NARA. I have not located the correct Jane Boggan who married William Wood. There are records for several Jane Boggans but none that married Wm Wood. My Wood family were very closely associated with the Rea/Ray Family in PA and Orange County, also Latta, Mebane, Bevan in Pa, Boggan in PA and especially Anson County. My Wm and his family, Alfred Mebane, Joseph H, James Ray (mine) and William Wood, Jr are on the 1790, 1800, 1810 census, Anson County. Wm served in the State Legialature for 5/6 years and was in Justice in Anson County for 19/20 years. Information from his pension papers. He died in Sep 1837, Anson County. If you are researching this family or have info about them, I will be forever grateful for any help. We have this family including allied families from James Ray Wood to now. Thanks Doris June(Wood) Fulghum
