My research in Orange County starts with Elisha (Eli) LINDSEY, 1755-1816. Before 1785 he married Jane Carr, 1764-1816. Both were born and died in Orange County. Their children were: John Lindsey m. Bethiah Clark James Lindsey m. Nancy Clark and Asevith Woods Ann Lindsey m. George Hodge Mary (Polly) Lindsey m. Archibald Clark Sally Lindsey m. Joseph Hodge and Robert Wilson Josiah Lindsey m. Betsy Anderson Eunice Lindsey m. Robert Hodge Robert Lawrence Lindsey m. Margaret "Peggy" Allison Martin Luther Lindsey m. Eunice Waters and Martha Jane Perry Believe all children through Robert Lawrence Lindsey were married in Orange County. About 1813-1815 Robert and his family moved on to White County, TN. He died and was buried in Putnam County, TN, between 1840-1850. His widow and some of their children moved on to Mercer County, MO sometime after his death.
