Hello, All Barbara, in your GIBSON research, have you come across the parents of my Thomas GIBSON, who was born in about 1797 in Rockingham Co NC and who married in December 1819 in Caswell Co NC to Margaret BOSWELL, daughter of Ransom BOSWELL and Elizabeth MOSS? The Sophia GIBSON who married Richard SMITH in 1815 was probably his sister. Both of these counties were, of course, still Orange Co NC in the era of Thomas GIBSON's ancestors.
